the season of bringing it on

inside: full moon energy, assessing new opportunities and priorities, audio drama

A moonful of opportunity

The full moon is coming up on Saturday April 12 and, with the burgeoning signs of spring, is a great reminder of stepping into change, flexibility and opportunities while holding a sense of health and healthy balance. All the positive growth and opportunities of the season won’t do any good if we are not balanced and take care of ourselves in our approach.

What will bring the best for you, yours and the coming year? As plans, project or opportunities emerge, how can you best evaluate their benefits and their impact?

Set time aside for a meditation or be open to receive Reiki on Saturday evening to support your next best opportunity. Keep reading below for more about creating balanced positive growth!

If you are interested in a little more, energetically, I’ll share group distance Reiki on the evening of April 12, as always, for your highest good and with full moon “coming to fruition” intentions. Simply be open to receive!

Over the years, I’ve had the great pleasure to work with creator Marcus Wilson - most recently, on The City audiodrama. Part 2 of The City is now available and Part 3 is under production! I really enjoyed narrating for this futuristic storyline and love how it has come to life.

You can hear more from Marcus (and me!) in The Statues audiodrama at the same link.

Both are also available on Spotify.

A web of a wheel

I love using the web as alternative for the wheel when it comes to working with the Wheel of Life. Webs speak to the connection, as every touch on a spider web sends reverberations along the threads and messages to the spider. It also is an incredibly flexible, strong and replenishable construction - all features that we can hold in our own lives and evolving balance.

Whether wheel- or web-shaped, it’s always a good time of the year (heck, it’s always a good time) to review our current life.

  1. Name the important areas of your life: Label each section of the web with an area of your life, work, key values, or a project. For example perhaps you label the sections as: family, finances, health, work. travel, learning, and home.

  2. Establish your current state: fill in each section on the scale of 0 to 10, where 10 means this area is in a perfect state for you, and 0 means this area is not active at all. For example, in health perhaps I fill this to a 5 because I am eating well, but not being as active as I would like to.

  3. Notice your current balance: are there areas of your life that are all filled in while others are barely filled in? Is everything filled in about the same?

  4. Imagine a change in each area:
What would happen if you made an improvement or had an opportunity in one area? Would that affect the other areas positively or would it add challenges?
What would happen if you pulled back a little or shifted priorities in an area? How would that affect the other areas?
For example, if I wanted to add a house renovation to improve how I felt at home, would I notice a decrease in travel or finances?

  5. Find the best balance: it’s all connected. Play with the shifts and what is important to you to find the best areas where you can engage in the opportunities that arise, or where you can proactively create your next best project!
