Summer night skies
This coming new moon on July 24 may be in a less that full dark sky, depending on where you live in the world. I lived for a few years not too far from the Artic Circle and everyone took advantage of a few weeks of midnight sun. Summer moons and stars were not part of the season.
Living a little further south now means that it’s not too difficult to stay up and see the night sky and Perseid meteor showers through the summer. It makes it a little easier to connect to the new moon when it’s absence is visible too.
These passed few weeks have shown themselves with intentional difficult moments of letting go. Things that require planning, recovery: a pet’s big dental surgery, a easing - though by no means easy - withdraw from a medication, a client’s shift from who they are known as to who they are.
Letting go is not always a sigh of relief.
Making a decision to release something that no longer serves you can require a small conscious moment or a full plan that lasts a week or two, and a transition to fill the new space or create new habits. Who will you be when you no longer have tooth pain or show up more authentically? How might that give you space to be more you in the coming weeks and months? Bring these questions to this new moon to connect with the right actions over the coming weeks.
If you are interested in a little more, energetically, I’ll share group distance Reiki on the evening of July 24, as always, for your highest good and with new moon “final release to open space to create” intentions. Simply be open to receive!

Plans and projects; shorter newsletters
These past few weeks have picked up in terms of project work, working with our fluctuating household and planning for pet surgery while losing a little sleep to that same pet who was also waiting for her surgery.

she’s all sunshine and flowers
The surgery went well and the next part is now all about healing and being able to create more comfort and routine.
It took a long time and some unexpected detours to get to this dental procedure booked. There has been a tonne of work getting ready and another week or two of getting through the post-surgery. But the resulting well-being and space to create even more comfort is worth it.
