The fullness of fall

The fall continues to be full of activity and energy to manage and we have once again reached an opportunity to consciously let go and shed a little excess. Have you picked up extra pieces to carry this past month or season? Have you encountered and held on to any additional energies, ideas or emotions that are outside of your control? Are you simply carrying the same things out of habit?

Do your shadows of the work you carry have enough substance to attract their own spider webs?

Take a moment in the coming days to notice thoughts, activities and tasks that are complete and can be let go.

  • acknowledge the work and how you notice it: a feeling, an emotion, a colour or sense

  • identify the intent of holding this work and why you chose to accept it; thank it for the opportunity and learning it brought

  • clearly provide the space for the work to be released to the world or its best new home. Release it.

  • if the work, energy or task does not readily release, notice what lingers. What do you need to do to complete and close out the action: perhaps there is a final person to notify, or a goodbye to say. It may be as simple as filing a document or turning a page in the journal. What would signify “done” for you?

If you are interested in a little more, energetically, I’ll share group distance Reiki on the evening of October 6, as always, for your highest good and with new moon “final release to open space to create” intentions. Simply be open to receive!

Cooler weather, warmer blankets and new books

It’s classic fall reading season: tea, blankets, a warm lighting and a good book are on the schedule for many. While my cozy reading chair has been cleared, it will likely be overtaken in waves while my fall season also includes a lot of office clean up.

I find fall reading takes on grander notes for me - longer books, bigger fantasy worlds, and more immersion.

What do you turn to with the turn of seasons?

A winter of reckoning

Well that sounds more ominous than I intend, but it’s not wrong. I’m in a season of resettling, re-organizing, reconvening and re-establishing. I’m holding my own space this fall and winter to reset. It’s not yet clear what the outcome will be - or necessarily even the full process to get there.

Thank you for joining me in the journey over here and beyond ❤️
